User settings screen

Select which format you want used to identify a person on the product screens, advanced analysis reports and IQ packets, either:

• First Last name
• Last First name
• Description

The details then used to identify a person are those you entered in the respective settings on the People and devices screen.

Select if you want your case data to be visible and usable by default for other account users. This then sets the default setting of Enable deconfliction (X-Case data search) on the Create new case screen.

When selected this allows:

• the person data in the case to be used when the person appears as an associate in other cases. In these other cases, the person data can be both viewed and edited.

• your case data to be displayed for all account users if they do an identifier search on the Advanced view cases screen screen and the identifier matches one in your case. Identifiers can be phone numbers, names, license plates, and social media accounts.

• your case data to be searched during a Batch X-Case deconfliction, and if there is a matching identifier then that information is shared with the account user who performed the search. For further information refer to Performing a batch X-Case deconfliction search.

• your case data to be searched during a Deconfliction search which allows the searching of identifiers between agencies who have an Info-sharing agreement in place. For further information refer to Performing a deconfliction search.

• other account users to use your case data in an X-Case.

NOTE: All the search results are from the case files therefore no results are returned if the identifier appears in another case without a corresponding file.

When it is not selected, then only the case creator, case assignees, and administrators can view the identifier search results and add to an X-Case, however the case data cannot be used in other cases as associate data. Administrators are also informed by email if a search is performed for an identifier that exists in the case.

Select which screen you want as your default screen for viewing cases, this for example sets which screen is displayed when you click View Cases on the main menu, either:

• Advanced view which displays the Advanced view cases screen.
• Grid view which displays the View Cases screen.
• Tree view which displays the View i-cases screen. This setting is only available if you have option E14 Sentinel.

Select which format you want used to display the person details on the People and devices screen.

• Grid view is an older format which displays the names in a tabular format. This view does not have all the functionality of the Tree view.
• Tree view which displays the names in a list format. This view is the recommended view, which displays a target person's associates and contains additional functionality.

Select if you want to display the file name on the Sentinel screen's Input and settings view.

Click to save any changes you have made.

Click to return to the Account settings screen.
